		<description>Hey there, while you are right that people in danger isn&#039;t the time to make an issue about coal, it is unfortunately the only time that most Americans THINK about coal [unless they live in mining state]. Most American fail to realize that the reason that their TV comes on every day is probably due to a coal fired power plant somewhere at the end of the wires.

While every life is important, it is good to know that there were less than I believe 50 fatalities in the US last year due to mining, which is dwarfed by the +4000 deaths in China (That the government admits to) Ted Kopple did a nice piece on NPR yesterday about it, and how it all ties into countries industrial revolution vs. the environment http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=12638556</description>
